Leisure Tour Packages to Delhi 2010

Sportsworld’s Leisure Tour packages offer guests the flexibility of choosing the events you want to see yet include accommodation, airport transfers and the services of Sportsworld staff for the duration of your stay.

There are 6 date waves available, which accommodate a variety of nights, budgets and the opportunity to take in individual events. Please see our package options below.

In order to plan your Delhi Games experience around the events you want to be at, you may like to review the full Events Schedule.
Please note: whilst we hope this is a final session plan, the organising committee in Delhi do hold the right to change, cancel or update any of these events should they deem it necessary. As this is the official Event Schedule, it should be kept up-to-date by Delhi 2010.

Choose from our choice of hotels
All Leisure Tour guests can choose the level of accommodation they wish to stay in and includes the following 5, 3 and 2 star hotels: 

The Park Hotel, New Delhi, 5*

This 5* hotel in New Delhi, is situated in the heart of the city's business and entertainment hub- Connaught Place. It overlooks the historic 18th century Jantar Mantar observatory. Any state related mementos you want to buy, you don't have to go anywhere far, the state emporias are just a stone's throw away from the Park.

The Parkland Hotels, New Delhi, 3*

The Parkland Hotels is a chain of hotels in the South Delhi area and all within 5 kms of each other. Comfortable and contemporary, the accommodation is individually and warmly decorated and includes facilities like restaurants  gyms in some buit not all, full air-conditioning, 24x7 security etc.
The 5 Parkland Hotels which Sportsworld will be operating from are:
The Parkland, Green Park, The Parkland, Safdarjung, The Parkland, Kalkaji, The Parkland, Kailash Colony and The Parkland, Defence Colony. These hotels will be allocated on availability at the time of booking. 

Regent Continental, 2*

An epitome of classical Indian hospitality, Hotel Regent Continental welcomes discerning travellers to explore Delhi on a budget. 3.5 km form the city and strategically located near the heart of the business and commercial hub of New Delhi, it provides easy access to all the major destinations in and around the national capital. The hotel provides 93 furnished air-conditioned rooms, all with modern comforts and facilities. Along with a clean and lively atmosphere, a recently completed renovation of rooms and the restaurant and public areas.

Event transport
Ticket holders have the right to travel free of charge on the Delhi Metro on the day for which the ticket is valid, during the period 3-14 October 2010. For more information on the Delhi Metro, click here.

Requesting your Event Tickets
Once you have selected and booked the tour dates that suit you, you will need to proceed to the Ticketing section where you will be led through our online request system to buy your event tickets.

Please note, events tickets are currently not on-sale but will be available to book on-line from Tuesday 15 June. We will be in touch when they go on-sale.

Optional Package Enhancements

Extra nights
The nature of contracting hotels in Delhi means that our tour dates are fixed (as shown in the table). If you are planning to travel prior to the start of the Games, we would be delighted to arrange additional nights. Similarly, if you are with us towards the end of the Games, we can assist with extending your stay. All prices for extra nights can be found in the pricing table.

Pre, during and post Games touring
Goa, The Himalayas, Nepal, China, Sri Lanka, Thailand.... take the opportunity to add a pre and/or post Games tour to one of the many amazing places in India or slightly further afield.
